This club meets regularly on alternate Wednesday A-blocks or as determined by the club sponsor.

Email is definitely the best way to get in touch with us. Please feel free to email us with any comments, suggestions, questions, or concerns you may have. You can email us at tjmedicalsociety@gmail.com
Stop By
The officers meet every other Wednesday during lunch on weeks we don’t have MEDSOC in room 123 (Dr. Uston’s room). If you need to talk to us in person or have an idea you’d like to give for a future meeting, please stop by!
Dr. Uston
Our amazing sponsor, always willing to let us use her room, is located in room 123. If you have any questions about the club, don’t hesitate to ask her or leave a note with her for us.
Ideas?
The officers of MEDSOC are constantly trying to come up with new and interesting meetings for you all. However amazing we may be, our fountain of creativity sometimes does run dry. Do you have any ideas for interesting meetings? Do you have any good resources? Is your father the Surgeon General of the United States? If so, please email us NO LATER THAN a week before our scheduled meeting. We also want ideas for fundraising.

Wow, I think it is great that you kids are so interested in the field of medicine, as studies show that less and less high school graduates are entering the field of medicine in college. I think it would be really neat if you learn about the use of chemistry in medicine, as it is really important and it PAYS. For example, I know a friend who makes over 150,000 dollars in salary ANNUALLY just researching what chemicals go into antibiotics, and I am sure that this payroll will only go up. I am proud that a bunch of genius students are concerned about this, and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Also, are there currently opportunities for students from other schools to participate in your fund-raisers or volunteer activities? I’d be interested, because I prefer to do these things in a group rather than on my own.

Thanks for the quick response, I’ll be sure to spread the word around Woodson, and perhaps take the chance to start a similar club at my school related to medicine. Thanks!
