Robotic Surgery

A rather interesting video showing the use of the innovative and minimally invasive “Da Vinci Surgical System,” a medical advent originally funded by DARPA on behalf of the government, and later the Stanford Research Institute. This shows some of the latest technology being developed in the medical field, which will be improved as time goes on. One of the greatest current applications for the technology is its use in prostatectomies in prostate cancer patients.

Cool! I have some more interesting Robotic Surgery videos that I’d like to share with the members. I have just uploaded them.

This club seems pretty interesting, and it’s surprising that we don’t have anythign directly comparable at my Fairfax. However, I would like to see your club expand to include participation from other schools through competitions or service projects. Nice club, though.
